Install on trim/tilt switch side, normally Port Side of Yamaha/Suzuki Outboards, F300-F350 V-8 models need 2 m-ywedge units, port
and starboard.
1. Trim outboard to up position.
2. Simply slide M-Y Wedge on Trim/Tilt switch side normally Port side (see
note) of Yamaha/Suzuki and normally Starboard side of Mercury/ Honda/ Johnson/
Evinrude over Trim/Tilt piston rod of Lower unit .
Note: (On Yamaha/Suzuki
the trim/tilt switch may be on the Starboard
side, if there is a grease zerk where the m-ywedge
meets the swivel bracket, the m-ywedge must go on the Port or Starboard
side depending on where the grease zerk is.)
3. M-Y Wedge will position and self-center,
slide completely down.
4. Trim outboard down until the rubber begins to compress.
5. To remove M-Y Wedge simply trim outboard to up position and remove.
6. Store M-Y Wedge in any boat compartment for convenience.
Note: We recommend that you rotate M-Y Wedge, 1/4 to 1/2 turn after each use. This
helps even the compression of the EPDM Rubber on the unit.

| The Universal m-ywedge unit
works on the single ram power tilt system. Kicker
motors with power tilt systems.
Mercury; 125hp-40hp with single ram power tilt
systems.
Yamaha; 90hp-40hp with single ram power tilt
systems.
Honda with single ram power tilt systems.
Evinrude and Johnson
with single ram power tilt systems.
Suzuki with single ram power tilt systems,(some Suzuki engines have a plastic housing around the main tilt piston
shaft, we don't recommend using the universal m-ywedge unit on these engines.)
1. Trim outboard to up position.
2. Simply push the universal M-Y Wedge on the power tilt
rod and it will pop or click into place.
3. Trim outboard down until the rubber begins to compress.
4. To remove universal M-Y Wedge simply trim outboard to up
position and remove.
5. Store universal M-Y Wedge in any boat compartment for convenience.
Note; The universal m-ywedge can be cut to
size, if your outboard sits to high or you have problems with tilting your motor high
enough to install the unit. Simply cut the universal m-ywedge using a miter or hack saw,
you normally don't need to cut more than an inch off. |
